The former governor of Aden province, south of Yemen, Eidrous al Zubeidi and the supporters of the southern Hirak, movement calling for separation of south from north of Yemen, declared on Thursday their rejection of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s decree, which dismissed al Zubeidi from the governor’s position of the city, where the government is based.
President Hadi issued on Thursday a decree dismissing al Zubeidi and appointing Abdul Aziz al Maflahi as a new governor of Aden.
However, al Zubeidi who participated in the massive demonstration staged by the southern Hirak, calling for separation, had said in the so-called Aden Historic Declaration that they reject the dismissal decree, including Hadi’s decree to dismiss the former Minister of State Hani ben Breik and send him to investigation.
