Gunmen kidnapped son of a merchant from the center of Ibb city on Saturday night and took him to an unknown destination, a local source said.
According to the source, masked gunmen kidnapped Tareq, the son of the merchant Abdul Wahid al-Ahmadi, and demanded his family pay a ransom for his release.
The source added that the kidnappers contacted the al-Ahmadi hours after kidnapping his son demanding a large ransom (millions of riyals) in return for his release.
It is noteworthy that the security instability is growing in Ibb province, which is under the control of the Houthi rebels, and the number of gunmen is also increasing, with the number of robberies and killings rising almost daily.
